Earworm of the Month: Soft Like Clay – Beaty Heart

Absolutely addictive. That’s the point of this award. And this month I could think of no better candidate and winner than Beauty Heart.

Considering Beaty Heart have released 2 EPs and an album prior to this song affecting my life, I was quite ashamed of myself for not hearing them before. HOW? Unless everything they’ve ever made has been completely opposite to Soft Like Clay…which I’ve since learnt is untrue.

Anyway. The song. It’s brilliant. It’s got EVERYTHING. The bass riff. The hooks. The beat. The lyrics. The experimental sounding clips. It screams “REPEAT” at my brain and I just can’t say no. I don’t want to. I love it.  I think it’s absolute genius. It has so many layers, so much texture and every time I listen to it I hear something new I hadn’t noticed before.

That’s my kind of earworm.

If you, like me, want to invest more of your time into listening to the brilliant Beaty Heart you can commit and pre-order upcoming album ‘Till The Tomb’  right now.
